Salt Therapy
What is Salt Therapy?
Salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, is a natural wellness practice that involves breathing in micro-particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt. Originating from the salt mines of Eastern Europe in the 1800s, this treatment mimics the microclimate of natural salt caves to support respiratory health, soothe the skin, and promote deep relaxation
How It Works
During your 40minute session, you relax and unwind in our beautiful salt room where a machine called a halogenerator crushes pure pharmacuetical grade salt into microscopic particles and disperses them into the air. As you breathe normally, these dry, invisible particles travel deep into your lungs and rest on your skin, acting like a gentle toothbrush to clear impurities.
Core Benefits of Salt Therapy
-
Clears Airways: Dry salt is naturally absorbent, drawing out excess fluid and thinning stubborn mucus to relieve congestion and provide some respiratory relief
-
Reduces Inflammation: The therapy calms swollen airways, making it a popular choice for managing respiratory concerns like asthma, allergies and much more.
-
Soothes Skin: Salt possesses natural antibacterial properties that help calm irritation from conditions like eczema and psoriasis - combine this with our LED light therapy to reduce inflammation and promote cellular health for ultimate results.
Note: Salt therapy is a complementary wellness practice designed to support your body's natural defenses, but it should be used alongside, never as a replacement for, prescribed medical treatments.
The aim with salt therapy is to thin the mucas that is problematic in respiratory issues. This results in progress around these issues by getting things moving. Salt has been used for years in context around saline rinses and nasal sprays have been a popular choice for many in attempting to relive breathing problems.
I have used them for years for my little ones when they went through that phase of “constant” sickness, croup, scarlet fever, colds and coughs. I really wanted to try using something that wasn’t too invasive since their immune systems had been through soo much.

LED phototherapy beds
How LED works.
LED phototherapy works through photobiomodulation which triggers the mitochondria in our cells. Our cells absorb this light (in this case red and near infrared wavelengths) to stimulate healing and repair. In TBL (our beauty, skin and laser clinic) we have been using LED photo therapy to improve skin conditions for over 10 years and the results really speak for themselves. Though we noticed that devices are suited only to small areas like the face, neck and decollate and so only improve the skin on these areas. A wide base of clients we see have chronic skin concerns like eczema and psoriasis all over the body and these conditions became difficult to treat with smaller devices hence why we feel full body LED is the perfect addition to TWL. We’ve seen what light therapy can do and cannot wait for you to try this full body device with over 11,400 LEDs ensuring there is not an area to be missed.
